1. Who can use Roomie
You must be 18 years of age or older to use Roomie. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or obscene.
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems.
- Send spam, unsolicited messages, or use automated bots.
- Harvest personal data of other users without consent.
Roomie may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules without notice.
3. User-generated content
You are solely responsible for what you post. Roomie does not pre-screen user content. Messages, polls, GIFs, and uploads are user-generated and may be inaccurate or inappropriate.
4. Reporting objectionable content
If you see content that violates these Terms, use the Report user button (tap any user's avatar → Report user). Reports are reviewed by the Roomie team.
5. Accounts & data
- Guest accounts and messages are automatically deleted after approximately 24 hours.
- Registered users may delete their account at any time from the profile modal.
- Votes on polls are linked to your account and are not anonymous.
6. Privacy
When you use the GIF picker, your search query and account identifier are sent to the Klipy API. Direct messages are private between sender and recipient, but may be accessed where required by law or to investigate violations.

7. Disclaimer
Roomie is provided as-is without warranties of any kind. The operator is not liable for user-generated content or for any losses arising from use of the Service.
